I wonder...

I can’t help but there a birth mother in Ethiopia carrying our baby right now?  We look at the proposed adoption timeline and it could very well be.
So my mind many weeks pregnant is she?  Has she felt the baby kick?
Has she already made the extremely tough decision to give up her baby?
Does she have enough food to eat?  Does she have to walk miles and miles just for clean water?
Does she live in the city or a remote village?
Does she have someone to care for her during her pregnancy?
We may never know the answers to many of these questions, so we do the only thing we can...pray.  We pray that she has a healthy pregnancy and enough nourishment for herself and the baby.  We pray for her as she makes one of the hardest decisions of her life and that she has support from friends or family.  And we pray for that little baby inside of her:)

I used to think about all the same things while we were waiting to find out about Mimi. I would recommend keeping a journal...I didn't actually write anything the day Mimi was born, but I at least could look back and see some of the feelings I was having around the time she was born. I am so excited for you both as you take this journey towards your son/daughter! :)

I was thinking about some of those things a couple weeks ago! Seems like such a slow process to me because I am so excited so I can hardly imagine what it feels like for you guys. We are praying for you!

Your prayers move God to change the world. You may not understand the mystery of prayer. You don't need to. But this much is clear: Actions in heaven begin when someone prays on earth." -Max Lucado
Andrew and I are praying for you, the baby, and the birth mother. Thankfully we have a God who listens to our prayers :)
